The Toronto Office is looking for an experienced BIM/Revit Modeler to join their Water and Wastewater Team and potentially grow into a BIM Lead role. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a positive attitude, problem solver and ready to apply their knowledge and skill sets to establish a rewarding, long-term career utilizing principles and methods for AEC Design and Digital Consulting projects.

Duties:

  • Development of Building Information Models for water and wastewater infrastructure design utilizing Revit 3D modelling software.
  • Leadership in the implementation of RVA's BIM execution plan and development and updating of BIM standards across all water and wastewater projects.
  • Ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project
  • Perform quality reviews of BIM deliverables
  • Work with linear and vertical design team to develop BIM standards and specifications
  • Educating team members on standard BIM procedures and processes and any new methodologies that may be useful
  • Preparation and review of REVIT design and as-constructed / record drawings for projects.
  • Create REVIT model / drawings from mark-ups or based on instructions.
  • Translate mark-ups/sketches into drawings consistent with company standards; check drawings for consistency with standards and plot final drawings; correctly label final work drawings; and update contract drawings and specifications.
  • As-constructed surveys and review of as-constructed surveys and preparation of as-constructed drawings.
  • Communicate with other disciplines on a project by project basis
  • Assist in field activities to gather project information, as necessary.
  • Other duties as required where appropriate for the position.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of a recognized BIM Management program.
  • A graduate of a 3-year college level civil engineering technologist program or a 2-year civil engineering technician program would be considered favorably
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with process mechanical systems. Experience with municipal water and wastewater facilities will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Adept at producing plan/section drawings using AutoCAD is required.
  • Experience using REVIT is required.
  • Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
