As a member of the Human Resources Shared Services Team, the HR Generalist (Contract) will be responsible for departmental administration functions related to employee life cycle events at FCT as well as other duties as required.

This posting is for a 6-month contract, starting September, 2024.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Support HRSS mailbox and other such case related queries as required along with follow-up activities.
  • The position is responsible for the full functionality of the full disability management process including but not limited to leaves of absence, benefits and associated Human Resource Information System (HRIS) administration.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Third party vendors regarding all benefits administration and disability management to ensure seamless administration.
  • Address all employee and leader inquires with regards to general employment, benefits, leaves, recruitment, employee onboarding/offboarding and related policies and procedures.
  • Support in the administration of employee life-cycle activities in our HRIS (Workday) system and prepare associated documentation as required including Employment Verification letters.
  • Supports the HR COE’s with the operational side of their programs and initiatives.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 1–3-year experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Management would be an asset. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field such as Business Administration.
  • Completion or enrolment in the CHRP/L certification program would be an asset but not required.
  • Excellent administration skills; extremely detail oriented and process driven.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • HRIS experience is an asset, “Workday” experience is preferred.
  • Ability to managing multiple projects while remaining organized and effectively managing time.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated integrity to handle confidential matters, courteous and professional demeanour.
  • A demonstrated customer service orientation is imperative.

This position includes pro-rated vacation time and personal days, per year
