Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager at our Walker Office in Oakville, ON location.

PRODUCT MANAGER

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for ensuring current and new innovative products go from idea to market successfully. You will articulate successful criteria, rally the Sales, Technical, and Research & Development (R&D) teams, and support the Walker Emulsions group's goals for commercialization of new products. This position requires skills in identifying, analysing, evaluating business opportunities, then creating and implementing marketing campaigns.

In this role, you will be…

1. Developing marketing strategies to deploy from concept to execution.
2. Testing functionality, performance, appeal among other product features and evaluating projects using relevant KPIs within and with customers.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and implement marketing strategies and gathering data on new product ideas. Coordinating new product launch processes to current and prospective customers.
4. Supporting new product introductions, transfers, and withdrawals.
5. Crafting overall strategies for new products from pricing, advertising, and launching marketing and commercialization plans.
6. Maintaining product and market knowledge. Analyses and keeping abreast of market trends. Creating new product development strategies based on the market.
7. Monitoring effectiveness of marketing campaigns and proactively adjusts based on the results and the market and consumer behaviour.
8. Determining brand building and strategies. Coordinating the development and execution of marketing elements.
9. Providing feedback and coordinating with R&D team to assist in determining what changes or new products would best meet customers' requirements and specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in chemical industry.
• Education: 2-3 year college diploma or equivalent education in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or Marketing.
• License: A valid G Registration Ontario driver's license.

TRAVEL

• Occasional travel locally and overnight through North America (15% of time) to meet with customers and will require a valid passport required for travel outside of Canada.
• Rarely travel will be necessary outside of North America
