Your work environment at EXP

EXP is searching for an Electrical Project Manager (Buildings) to join our Mechanical/Electrical team in our Ottawa, ON, office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Reports to the Mechanical/Electrical Manager with the ability to work independently on projects from start to completion
• Provides input and makes decisions on electrical project scope definition, schedule, and budget requirement
• Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels
  Oversees development of design concepts by designers and ensures proper application and execution
• Review designers' work for all deliverables including drawings, specifications, and reports
• Mentors and encourages development of designer level staff
• Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of electrical engineering
• Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
• Responsible for applying risk management practices to all projects
• Writes studies and reports on electrical systems
• Contributes to revisions of EXP's design standards and master specifications

What your experience looks like

• 5 of experience in electrical buildings design at a consulting engineering firm
• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or equivalent degree
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario is an asset
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Proficient with Revit or willing to learn
• Knowledge of applicable codes such as the Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and electrical design software
