You as a MEIT Coordinator:

  • Coordination of Mechanical, Electrical and Information Technology Scopes to ensure they comply with specifications, drawings and codes
  • Plan, direct and coordinate on-site activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes
  • Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
  • Provide direction during functional performance testing of all building systems
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical Requests for Information (RFI), shop drawing reviews and coordinate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements
  • Assist and generate mechanical and electrical schedules for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation and inspection dates; coordinate with project master schedule, track installation progress in the field and be proactive in identifying tasks that may go past completion dates shown on schedule.
  • Assist in Commissioning Schedule Development
  • Maintain constant communication with Mechanical and Electrical sub-trade(s) and follow up on a monthly basis to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are maintained
  • Help develop M&E Scope of Work/Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, estimate/ budget and related Subcontractor contracts

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a construction related degree/diploma and ideally two years of Mechanical and Electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • You have a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles and practices
  • You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them
