Shop and Logistics Coordinator (NOC 13201) is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and organization of shop activities, as well as managing logistics and coordinating transportation. Serving as a liaison between the shop team, management, and other departments, this role plays a vital role in the overall success of the operation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential to maintain seamless workflows.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Logistics and Administration

  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Organize warehouse and work areas
  • Perform general office duties
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Follow-up on issues with work orders
  • Keep track of shipments
  • Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Establish work schedules and procedures

Health & Safety

  • Identify with and respect ConeTec’s safety culture, first and foremost.
  • Ensure proper preparation and knowledge of all necessary safe operating procedures before beginning any job.
  • Report any safety-related incidents, infractions, or near misses to the Project Manager and the HSE Officer, immediately.
  • Always know and follow the incident reporting protocol.


SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education with a degree or technical diploma an asset

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in an operations or project coordinator role required.
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Valid driver’s license class 5 Driver’s and clean driving record.
  • Previous shop assistant or equivalent experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Technical Skill Requirements

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving heavy materials up to 50 lbs., climbing, crawling as well as walking on uneven ground, and working long hours in all weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office & and general computer skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues would be an asset.

Additional information:

  • The position is for full-time indefinite term of employment
  • This job is 100% on site. Location of the office: 9033 Leslie St., Unit 15, Richmond Hill , Ontario, L4B 4K3
  • The salary rate: $27.5 hour, 40 hours per week (up to 10 hour sof overtime may be required from time to time)
