SCOPE OF POSITION


The Production and Transportation Logistics Coordinator (NOC 13201) is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and organization of shop activities, as well as managing logistics and coordinating transportation. Serving as a liaison between the shop team, management, and other departments, this role plays a vital role in the overall success of the operation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential to maintain seamless workflows.


ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Logistics and Administration

  • Book, manage, and track all shipping and logistics requests.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, package, and load product correctly.
  • Communicate with management and crews about relevant shipments.
  • Track costs, provide purchase orders, and code invoices related to the role.
  • Maintain a shipment database with frequent status updates.
  • Maintaining stock of general shop supplies
  • Monitor, approve shop purchases, and submit expenses with the support of the Operations Management Team.
  • Support the shipping/receiving department with international shipping and customs brokerage documentation.
  • Provide reports and weekly updates to the Operations Management Team

Operations and Shop Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize the parts room and shop.
  • Assisting shop, field, and mechanics staff with tasks as required.
  • Completing deliveries and picking up equipment and supplies for the team.
  • Tow trailers as required.
  • Operate a forklift, loader, and other shop equipment.
  • Conduct full-cycle inventory management and purchasing orders for equipment.
  • Train other personnel on conducting calibrations, testing, and maintenance on cones.
  • Analyze and suggest improvements within the yard and facilities to better streamline processes.


Health & Safety

  • Identify with and respect ConeTec's safety culture, first and foremost.
  • Ensure proper preparation and knowledge of all necessary safe operating procedures before beginning any job.
  • Report any safety-related incidents, infractions, or near misses to the Project Manager and the HSE Officer, immediately.
  • Always know and follow the incident reporting protocol.


SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education with a degree or technical diploma an asset

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in an operations or project coordinator role required.
  • Valid driver's license class 5 Driver's and cleaning driving record.
  • Previous shop assistant or equivalent experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.


Technical Skill Requirements

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving heavy materials up to 50 lbs., climbing, crawling as well as walking on uneven ground, and working long hours in all weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office & and general computer skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues would be an asset.
