Route Driver

VG Meats is looking for a Route Driver in Simcoe, ON!

The Route Driver will make daily deliveries from the plant to clients and may collect and/or deliver items to and from various facilities. With local and GTA routes, drivers will be home each night. Develop your CAREER with VG Meats!

What you will do as the Route Driver:

• VG Meats is looking for qualified and positive candidates to perform daily deliveries.
• Aside from the requirements, applicants need to work hand-in-hand with our Shipping/Receiving department as well as Administrative personnel and the Logistics Supervisor as it relates to:
• Clarification of paperwork
• Customer orders and shipment particulars, etc.

Requirements/Qualifications/Duties/Responsibilities:

• Effective communication and attention detail are keys to success
• Potential candidates need to be experienced with delivery of time and temperature sensitive products and diligent with respect to the cleanliness of their delivery vehicle
• 3 years work-related driving experience
• Ability to drive in the city and to load and unload truck
• Positive attitude and attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Clean Driver's Abstract
• Reference letters from previous and/or current employers totaling 3 years driving experience. (Letters do not have to be from one employer - different positions can be added together to equal a total of the required 3 years' experience).
