Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager/Team Lead in our Sudbury, ON office. The successful candidate will be a motivated, detailed-oriented, professional with 10-plus years of experience in project management, environmental site assessments, landfill reporting and environmental consulting services to support EXP throughout Northeastern Ontario.


What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Provide leadership, training, and operational support to junior and intermediate staff in the areas of environmental site assessment, remediation and/or risk assessment, as applicable, within the framework of Ontario Regulation 153/04;
  • Provide Qualified Person services for earthwork projects in accordance with Excess Soil Regulations, Ontario Regulation 406/19.
  • Manage the technical, schedule and budgetary elements of projects and provide day-to-day project management and compliance with site, corporate and regulatory standards;
  • Serve as a resource in your field(s) of expertise;
  • Analyze and prepare documentation, presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Nurturing strong client relationships and having an opportunity to participate in business development activities;
  • Engage with other senior members within the firm to advance our brand and standing with client.

What your experience looks like

  • Have a professional designation P.Geo. or P.Eng. is an asset;
  • Over 10 years of experience in the environmental field in Ontario; Preference will be given to those with consulting experience;
  • University degree in a related field, such as environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology;
  • Knowledge of provincial (Ontario Regulation 153/04, Ontario Regulation 406/19, Ontario Regulation 407/19, etc.), and federal (CCME) guidelines for contaminated sites assessments;
  • Experience in contaminated sites investigations (Phase I/One and II/Two ESAs) is a requirement;
  • Extensive working knowledge of federal and provincial guidelines/standards for contaminated sites assessments including the filing of Record of Site Condition under Ontario Regulation 153/04;
  • A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment;
  • Strong organizational and time managemet;
  • Detail oriented, organized and self-motivated individual;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical writing ability;
  • Ability to converse and/or write in French is an asset;
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required;
  • Must be comfortable in the field on construction/environmental project sites.
