We are looking for a DC Retirement Senior Associate to join our team in our Toronto office!

As a DC Retirement Senior Associate, you will leverage your retirement and investment experience and be responsible for certain clients. You will continue learning and advance your career by working with our consultants on various mandates and special projects. You will play an active role in the growth of our practice by supporting our business development efforts.

Your day as a DC Retirement Senior Associate

Consulting Services

  • Team up with our consultants, and support our clients in all aspects of DC consulting: plan design, investments, provider search and implementation, member engagement, investment monitoring and governance, and ongoing plan optimization.
  • Plan, coordinate and quality assure regular client DC plan-monitoring reports prepared by our analysts; identify key observations and recommendations to optimize plan effectiveness.
  • Work with our analysts, research and analyze investment options, prepare performance summaries and benchmarking; and recommend investment option changes accordingly.
  • Act as the first point of contact with clients and providers for questions and service.
  • Actively participate in client meetings.
  • Participate in various projects to develop our intellectual capital and tools.
  • Keep abreast of pension regulations, CRA (tax) rules, DC industry developments, and plan management best practices.

Business Development

  • Analyze the situation of potential clients, and prepare diagnostic reports and preliminary recommendations.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of proposals.

Our ideal candidate

  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or Business.
  • 5 to 6 years of DC consulting and/or DC provider client service experience.
  • Good understanding of DC plan design, provider services, institutional investments, retirement, and relevant tax legislation, as well as Canadian best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Commitment to obtaining your Quebec life insurance license.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
