What You Will Do

Coordinates the technical review of design submissions, for Metrolinx and TTC Projects under the Alternative Funding (Design-Build) Model and subject to the Project Master Agreements with Metrolinx. Ensuring design documents are reviewed for technical adequacy and quality control in a timely manner. Ensuring the TTC design standards and operational requirements are met. Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Helps to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies. Participates in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

• Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. Architectural or Engineering Technology), along with related, progressive experience, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
• Good knowledge of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design disciplines and their interrelationships, especially as related to a transit environment.
• Good knowledge of construction practices including applicable codes, standards and regulations.
• Good knowledge of engineering design office practices and technical records management procedures.
• Good technical knowledge in the area of technical specification writing, tendering process, and construction contract documents.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), as well as detailed knowledge of Bentley Microstation CADD software which would normally be obtained through extensive drafting experience.
