POSITION SUMMARY |
Reporting to the Director - Design & Construction, Alternative Project Delivery (APD), the Estimating & Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all the bidding and procurement functions within the APD group and supervises the estimating and pre-construction process through integration with tools and platforms (ie. Scheduling and 3D Modeling) and other internal company subsidiary estimators and staff, and external partners such as design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and financial advisors.
The Manager will coach/mentor and develop a strong cohesive team, while providing key inputs and guidance towards the project pursuit from an estimating and constructability perspective, overseeing allocation of estimating resources, reviewing estimates, and managing tender closings / pursuit submissions; all in collaboration with the Project Bid Manager and the company, subsidiary, and partner leadership teams. The candidate shall possess advanced communication and collaborative skills, interpersonal managerial leadership, and a thorough understanding of the company's objectives, with the ability to think and act strategically and develop innovative ways of aiding the company's success from an estimating and market relationship perspective.
