Job Summary:

This position is responsible for developing structured, consistent and professional Regulatory Impact Assessments (RIAs) concerning standards and codes that affect regulated public safety matters (e.g. regulated products and systems). RIAs explain the content of either new or updated standards or codes, in terms of how they will impact key stakeholders (e.g. industry, tradespeople, consumers), either operationally or economically, as well as regulators (e.g. in consideration of potential policy implications).

RIAs support regulators in making decisions about which standards and codes to adopt into regulation, and help drive the business objectives of CSA Standards, by promoting the timely adoption of those standards and codes.
