Quality control technician Job Description :

  1. Reports to Quality Assurance Manager and/or Quality Assurance Assistant Manager, Supervisor
  2. Conduct pre-shift inspection of packaging equipment/ machinery/ belts/ food contact surfaces to ensure clean and after every changeover
  3. Perform physical measurements of base(weights, thickness, dimension, % icing)
  4. Perform sensory & visual evaluation of base and creme
  5. Perform chemical analysis of base(% moisture)
  6. Perform physical measurements of finished product package weights
  7. Perform visual inspection and verification of correct packaging, coding, packaging material using the product profile, provides positive release
  8. Conducting % breakage, %overlapping, checking as required
  9. Daily inspection of packaging equipment/ machinery/ belts/ food contact surfaces for damage parts and potential contamination, documenting and reporting to shift manager
  10. Responsible for putting up alert signs & removing (for allergen, gluten free/organic)
  11. Daily monitoring of rework/work in progress documenting and reporting.
  12. Daily inspection of operators for GMP's practices,  handling procedures
  13. Conduct hourly checks on metal detector(CCP) to ensure functioning and document and investigate positive metal findings
  14.  Collection of retain samples for shelf life monitoring
  15. Collection of finished product for lab testing as per assigned list, customer approval and 1st day production
  16. Collection of products for checking reports
  17. Issuing an incident report and/or hold reports for out of standard product/packaging, food safety incidents, GMP infractions
  18. Daily inspection of operators for proper GMP's practices, food safety issues
  19. Cover for bakeshop QC tech when absent
