Technical Services Manager

Role: Guides maintenance teams to deliver exceptional resident satisfaction through effective property maintenance. Provides mentorship, fosters teamwork, and champions a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct frequent and comprehensive site visits to ensure maintenance teams are well-supported and properties are maintained to high standards.
  • Mentor and support maintenance teams for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Cultivate expertise in building systems and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures.
  • Drive energy management initiatives, collaborating with teams to achieve goals.
  • Coordinate fire and life safety system certification, ensuring resident safety.
  • Analyze service requests and maintenance trends to enhance response times and quality.
  • Lead capital projects and budgeting, prioritizing resident satisfaction and safety.
  • Provide leadership in OH&S and emergency response protocols, maintaining a calm demeanor and effective response in crises.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop strong, respectful relationships with vendors and business partners.
  • Uphold customer service standards, resolving inquiries and fostering positive resident interactions.
  • Utilize technology proficiently to enhance operational efficiency and communication.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with mechanical and/or electrical certification.
  • Preferred certifications: WHMIS, First Aid Training.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in building operations, emphasizing mentorship and teamwork.
  • Highly organized and forward-thinking, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship-builder.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Yardi Voyager, CMMS and building automation systems.
  • Comfortable with technology and adaptable to new systems.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
