We are looking for a Pitman at our Walker - Vineland Quarry location.

Pitman

Reporting directly to the Quarry Superintendent the successful candidate assists in day-to-day tasks involving our Vineland Quarry Plant.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • General Clean Up; (Shoveling, scraping, debris removal, washing etc.)
  • Perform general plant and equipment inspections; documenting relevant findings.
  • Operate a Haul Truck and stockpile for the Quarry Plant.
  • Work with our Customers in a professional manor.
  • Work with our Operations and Quality Control to ensure our products meet our customer's needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quarry Superintendent
  • Perform/assist with minor plant repairs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent by experience;
  • Experience in a related Aggregate/ Construction Industry
  • Experience operating a skid steer/ man lift equipment.
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • The ability to work flexible hours.
  • The ability to take initiative on the job.

This is a unionized environment with an hourly wage of $28.33. In addition we offer a comprehensive benefit and pension plan.
