The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

Reporting to the Technical Services Department, the Process Engineer is responsible for the development and improvement of processes related to surface treatments such as plating (Chromium, Nickel, Cadmium, Cadmium-titanium, Nickel autocatalytic, Zinc-Nickel), anodizing (sulfuric; standard and hard), chemical conversion, passivation, chemical etching, shot blasting, etc.

Through his expertise in the field, he ensures that the technical documents comply with the accreditations of the various customers, he will design and implement working methods that will improve quality, deliverability and delivery times.

He will coordinate projects for the improvement and automation of certain processes and participate in the introduction of new products and technologies in the plant.
In addition, he will accompany the external auditors during special process audits and represent the company with them. He will respond to reports of non-conformities, investigate the causes of the non-conformities produced and supervise the implementation of the following corrective actions.

Finally, he will join the submission committee which analyzes the various technical specifications in order to accurately assess the operating times of the different special processes and the costs generated by the tooling required for new products.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical or other related discipline
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position an asset
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Passionate and very good judgment
• Fluently bilingual both orally and in writing
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
