Job Description :
Lead and coordinate BBA’s consulting services in the transmission and distribution line sector for the Montréal or Mont-Saint-Hilaire office.
With the Mont-Saint-Hilaire office director and other strategic BBA players, develop and implement market strategies to stimulate growth in the Transmission and Distribution Department.
Actively participate in development activities by finding business opportunities and new clients.
Be a leading member of a multidisciplinary team of skilled engineers, designers and project support staff preparing proposals, studies, reports, plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
Coordinate with other senior technical BBA staff to share information, identify market trends and develop a network of resources to support projects, where necessary.
Perform the main technical review of transmission and distribution line study reports.
Assist in implementing managerial and strategic initiatives.
Identify and support learning and training activities for the Transmission and Distribution Department.
Ensure the department undertakes its responsibilities and obligations in accordance with BBA health, safety and environment standards.
Identify resource needs in our department and support the business group in identifying and recruiting them.
Oversee management of business development budgets for the department.
Represent BBA at conferences and professional association meetings in the field of transmission and distribution lines.
Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.
Ensures that each office fulfils its health, safety and environment (HSE) responsibilities and obligations in accordance with applicable provincial laws and regulations and in compliance with the firms HSE policy.
Meticulously carries out assigned roles and responsibilities in accordance with established health and safety directives.

Requirements :
Undergraduate or graduate degree in structural, with a specialization in transmission and distribution lines
Ability to become a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
At least 10 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering and/or in assessing projects and staff management
Established network of contacts in the transmission and distribution line sector
Interest and skills in business development
Experience preparing budgets, estimates and schedules
Bilingual (English and French)
Occasional travel to domestic or international destinations
Asset: Financial modeling skills network
