Description


You will contribute to projects involving renewable energy, power systems, power transmission and distribution as well as plant services in the pulp and paper and data centre sectors. You will work jointly with our engineers, technicians and designers and will take care of layouts for our various projects.

  • Apply BBA or client standards when drafting layouts, sketches, maps, graphics or diagrams from detailed drawings.
  • Produce preliminary plans for buildings, equipment or sites from reference drawings or catalogues.
  • Prepare simple diagrams and produce dimensional calculations and final drawings based on simple diagrams of mechanical equipment.
  • Participate in improving dynamic block libraries and other internal tools.
  • Help more experienced work colleagues with more complex tasks.
  • When required, help prepare site surveys.
  • Apply the firm’s health and safety policy and take the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform work safely.
  • Become familiar with the corporate prevention program and apply directives specific to the position.

Requirement
s

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Building or Industrial drafting or a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Architectural engineering
  • 5 years of relevant work experience or less
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Hold the ASP Construction card (BBA can offer this training, where necessary)
  • Intermediate knowledge of work safety and site supervision
  • Minimal knowledge of electrical installation safety
  • Asset: knowledge of 3D, Revit and CATIA software
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
