Structural Engineer - Electric lines

Type of position: Regular

• Help prepare plans, specifications and reports;
• Design power line and substation structures;
• Perform other technical functions to support project deliver;
• Assist with site inspections and surveys;
  
• Help plan, organize and assess work;
• Help prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports;
• When required, participate in monitoring and commissioning technological solutions;
• Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters;
• Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives;
• Coordinate the work of contractors on site and monitor work

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in Structural;
• From one to five years of experience;
• Proficiency in technical writing;
• Advanced knowledge in reading drawings;
• Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety and field monitoring;
• Knowledge of SAFI or the PLS-CADD suite;
• Proficient with the relevant code of ethics;
• Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions;
• Available to travel to client sites and offices (20% to 40% of the time);
• Bilingual (English and French).
