About the role

  • The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the shop floor operations
    regarding Propulsion, including maintenance equipment as aligned with the business objectives and commitments
  • Accountable for departmental budget development and control in line with overall
    business commitments and corporate objectives, including the support of CAPEX initiatives (CAPEX) initiatives
  • Accountable for ensuring resources are available to accomplish the required work in
    accordance with customer orders and business commitments
  • Drive the implementation and follow-up of all Quality, Training, 6S and Environment,
    Safety, and Health (ES&H) policies and initiatives
  • Lead required initiatives to resolve non-conformance and audit findings in the
    required delays
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to direct reports
  • Develop and provide support as required for the development of short term and
    long-range business plans
  • Deliver and/or exceed on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics (e.g. ES&H,
    Quality, Turn Around Time (TAT), Productivity, Cost, etc.), ensuring Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet commitments
  • Initiative and drive Root Cause/Corrective Action programs as required through
    operations environment
  • In collaboration with Business Development team and the Repair Engineering,
    support new repair development to align with overall business Ecosystem strategy
  • Manage the performance reviews for all staff under supervision
  • Maintain and foster a constructive Management/Union relationship while respecting
    the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Provide support to Accounting Analyst when required.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in business/Operations Management/ Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Seven+ years relevant experience in Operations Management
  • Leadership and proven supervision capabilities
  • Initiative and creativity - results oriented
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Access
  • Fluent in French & English
  • Integrity, respect, honesty and Judgement
  • Leadership - team management, Impact and Influence
  • Ability to summarize, Organizational planning and Problem solver
  • Capacity to delegate, Awareness of controls and Priority Management
  • Organizational skills and Tolerance to Stress.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Previous experience in, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment
  • Manufacturing experience within the Propulsion Operations functions within the field of Aviation
  • Aerospace trade experience.
