Specific Job Description

  • Works with potential airline and lessor third party customers to identify and develop creative business solutions for engine maintenance of their fleet and/or specific engines
  • Performs technical engine forecasting and analysis, develops engine work-scopes for proposals and prospective customer programs
  • Plays a key role in the creation and implementation of new products and services, business program enhancements, and sales pursuit strategies
  • Ensures the logical conversion of customer requirements into system solutions that increase the probability of win for the organization
  • Functions as a liaison between propulsion engineering, customer programs, and business development
  • Participates in pricing and performance reviews with management and customer representatives
  • Participates as a key member of the contract negotiating team.
  • Works under general direction
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions while collaborating with other key stakeholders on solutions and strategy
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization
  • Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
  • Complete understanding and application of commercial jet engine principles, concepts, practices, and standards
  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial engine Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry and company practices.
  • Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts
  • Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience: or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
  • Minimum 4 years in Managing engine fleet and engine processes
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in CFM56 engine work-scope in MRO or airline
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Effective problem resolution and prioritization skills
  • Understanding of customer requirements
  • Ability to work without direct supervision in a shop floor environment
  • Ability to deal and communicate effectively with internal and external Customers, with strong interpersonal skills.
