You will be joining the Collaborative Health Product Team as a Software Engineering Manager, and will be a key contributor within our team as we enter a rapid growth phase. As an experienced member of the team, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge and leadership skills to drive the development of scalable and innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and partners. Your guidance and strategic direction will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of our growth trajectory, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products that align with our vision for advancing healthcare technology.

• You are accountable for your team's successful, timely delivery of high-quality modern web applications
• Lead, inspire, and empower a team of talented team members
• Attract and recruit top talent to help execute our mission
• Collaborate with product managers on product discovery to define project scope, goals, solution ideas, and deliverables
• Serve as an advocate for career advancement of your team members - know where they want to go and take the appropriate steps to set them up for success

• Anticipate and prepare for the future - technology, people, culture and process

Qualifications

What you bring

• Five years or more of demonstrated ability to lead and develop high performing agile development teams
• Senior level experience designing, developing and delivering complex technical software solutions (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience leading systems design of service-based architectures and microservices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to effectively influence across the organization.
• Experience with modern web technologies, including Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Javascript, as well as GraphQL and REST APIs
• Proven experience managing cloud platforms (AWS and GCP) in production environments
• University degree in a related field or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities

Great-to-haves

• Design and administration of PostgreSQL or other relational databases, testing automation, continuous integration and build pipelines
• Knowledge of health technology standards like HL7 FHIR and HL7 v2.x
