An overview of your future role at BBA

  • Carry out engineering projects based on IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems.
  • Play various roles, such as project leader and proposal leader.
  • Prepare competitive and value-added proposals.
  • Design protection diagrams (logic and control diagrams).
  • Design substation HMI/SCADA architecture and configuration.
  • Configure smart electronic devices (relays, substation controllers, etc.).
  • Direct testing at BBA's digital power systems lab.
  • Commission digital power systems.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • University degree in engineering
  • Five years of experience or more in the power systems sector
  • Available to travel to BBA's office across Canada
  • Available for short- and long-term assignments at client sites across Canada
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
  • Knowledge of substation technology
  • Knowledge of how to configure protection relays
  • Asset: knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard
  • Asset: Knowledge of how to configure HMI/SCADA systems
  • Asset: Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays
  • Asset: graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
