Join us as RAMS ( Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) Group Manager and you will be looking for a career-defining position in St-Bruno, Quebec, Canada.

Manage RAMS activities and related deliverables in accordance with QCD commitments on projects/programs assigned to the Group. Support Alstom product performance by ensuring RAMS requirements are identified upstream to: Improve their ability to meet the expected reliability targets and achieve an acceptable level of risk in accordance with Alstom’s safety policy. Manage and develop the RAMS engineering team within the Group. Apply applicable Alstom/RSC RAMS processes and instructions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure proper management of RAMS activities on projects/programs under the responsibility of the RAMS Group for its scope in accordance with applicable RAMS instructions/processes and other specific requirements committed to the client.
  • Ensures the proper management of RAMS activities on tenders under the responsibility of the RAMS Group for its scope and reviews/challenges the results and specifications of related RAMS activities.
  • Ensure proper tracking of QCD work packages for RAMS.
  • Support the Group team in resolving complex issues, particularly those involving other stakeholders (internal or external) and support them in defining priorities.
  • Ensure that the RAMS performance of the Alstom product is properly managed on each project/programme and follow up on the main open RAMS actions for projects/programmes "at risk" or difficult.
  • Ensure that reliability and safety design reviews are prepared and documented in accordance with the project/program schedule and follow-up on key open measures.
  • Ensure that project/program debriefing (product reliability measurement, K1 issue, etc.) from a RAMS perspective is properly transmitted to the RAMS technical repository and/or processes, as applicable.
  • Manage the development of the Group team to ensure the fit of the capacity in relation to the workload in relation to the competence with the support of N+1.
  • Alert the N+1 in the event of a team problem in terms of capacity, skills and other specific events that may affect the team’s performance (resignation, mobility, conflict, etc.).
  • Ensure that Alstom/RSC’s RAMS rules and processes are applied by the Group to the relevant programmes/projects, in particular those dedicated to RAMS activities.
  • Report on the progress of Group RAMS activities and alert the N+1 in the event of a problem that could impact the achievement of QCD commitments.
  • Track potential blockage issues with respect to expectations for the next stage of the review

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • RAMS assessment and demonstration with 5 years and plus of experience.

    And/Or

    · Electrical and/or Electro-mechanical Engineering applied to Railway products with 5 years and plus of experience.

    · First Experience of team management.

  • French mandatory and English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation.
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Conflict Management and multitasking.

  • Customer & Product Focus / Management skills.

  • Structured and organised with Hands-on approach.
