Service Mechanical Designer

We are looking for a Service Mechanical designer and who’ll be tasked to develop and bring to market a compelling offering to our customers. You will directly impact consumers and dealers experience by providing added value products and services.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Bring multiple concepts up to commercialization by leveraging your engineering skills paired with your entrepreneurial mindset.
• Leverage or develop your understanding of product usage and service to lead development initiatives to offer optimal serviceability and ease of repair to our customers.
• Work closely with the Design for Serviceability and the Engineering Teams to define service parts strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead efforts to ideate and initiate new offerings and enhancements to existing offerings for XPS and Service parts (e.g., XPS tire, service parts optimization, lubrication and maintenance product development, kitting, BOM optimization, specialized tools, and packaging etc.).
• Establish product performance criteria, validation plans, and ensure their execution.
• Continuously strive to improve your Key Performance Indicators; Growth and Profitability, while building a compelling value proposition both for the dealer network and for customers.
• Collaborate with purchasing, quality assurance and suppliers in the various stages of the product development process.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• A technical college diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with relevant track record experience or high interest in Powersports, Automotive, Heavy Equipment functions related to engineering, parts, or after-sales functions.
• Ability to use software such as Catia V5 or Solidworks with good understanding of mechanics and 3D visualization.
• Strong entrepreneurship and collaborative skills to work efficiently in a cross-functional environment.
• Good adaptability and autonomy in an interactive and evolving environment.
• Be an enthusiastic team player, passionate about vehicle repair and customer lifecycle value.
• Experience in serviceability and repairability processes in product development is an asset.
• Knowledge of chemistry and tribology would be an asset.
• Bilingual: French and English
