We are looking for a Chief Designer who will report to the Project Manager to help us lead a design team that is passionate about the world of powersports and driven by innovation. In this role, you will have the chance to manage innovative design projects that define the very essence of BRP's reputation.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Exercise a management role for all the designers in your group to ensure the achievement of the team's objectives;
  • Supervise the realization of design activities according to best practices, such as technical drawings, bills of materials, digital models and other documentation;
  • Ensure the professional development of each member of your team;
  • Collaborate with the various sectors to ensure product development and on-time delivery of tools and components;
  • Monitor and establish KPIs based on department objectives;
  • Advise and contribute to the strategies and orientations of your department with a view to constant evolution.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A technical college diploma in mechanical engineering or another related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience;
  • Excellent sense of leadership, organization and priority management;
  • Good knowledge of design technologies and methodologies;
  • Good knowledge of Catia V5 and smarteam;
  • Interest and skills for team management;
  • Good communication in French and English, both orally and in writing;
  • English is required because the person will have to read technical and regulatory documentation not available in French as well as communicate with international suppliers.
