Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking an Appliance Technician to join our Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The Appliance Technician will be responsible for daily site inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance on major electrical or gas appliances.

Where We Work and Live:

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is located in Jansen, SK. This position is based on an 14 days on, 14 days off rotation.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily site inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with O&M manuals and job plans on major electrical or gas appliances, such as commercial dishwashing equipment, stoves, laundry equipment and refrigerators.
2. Replace components and subcomponents and reassemble appliance using industry standard tools and equipment.
3. Consult customer/user or refer to work order to establish nature of the appliance malfunction and diagnose faults by checking error codes, controls, and all other components using industry standard tools and equipment for testing and repair.
4. Refer to schematic diagrams or product manuals for servicing, maintaining, disassembling, and assembling of appliance using hand tools, shop equipment, and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus.
5. Provide a report to the Maintenance Supervisor noting of any problems found. These reports will be verbal and written in the respective area of the CMMS (1SAP)
6. Ensure all operations meet and comply with client procedures policies and protocols as well as corporate, federal and provincial health and safety legislation and regulations, and corporate procedures, policies and regulations
7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Journeyperson Certified Appliance Technician (Preferred)
2. Certified training courses from major appliance manufacturers (Nice to have but not required)
3. 3-5 years of appliance technician experience (Preferred)
4. General Gas Fitter License (Preferred)
5. Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform (Preferred)
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills
7. Able to read drawings and blueprints
8. Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
9. Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedure typical for maintenance operations
10. Highly experienced with costumer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus
11. Abilities to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
12. Basic PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook
13. Professional communication skills, oral, and written
