P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.
From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Montreal, Quebec; Acton, Hanover, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.
Wage and Benefits
Wage: $27.55 - $39.64 depending on level of apprenticeship or certification.

Your Role
As Maintenance Millwright, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in ensuring a safe workplace and to maintain an effective Maintenance Department. This position offers exceptional opportunities to grow your professional career while maintaining a healthy and fulfilling work/life balance.
Day to Day
- Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Test and provide feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
- Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems.
- Follow safe work policies and procedures.
- General facility maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2nd year millwright apprentice.
- Previous experience (ideally in flour mill operations) which includes bucket elevators, conveyors, rotary valves, compressors, blowers, fans, grinders, electric motors, gearboxes, and filtration equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Experience in fabricating and welding.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Available to support all production departments when on-call on weekends.
- Strong oral & written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer maintenance management system (CMMS) experience is an asset.
- Forklift/Crane training is an asset.
- Previous experience with rigging and lifting of equipment an asset.
