Your Role
As Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the grain facility.
Day to Day
- Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
- Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples
- Grain grading for canola, wheat, oats and barley
- Operating grain cleaners
- Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping
- Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment
- Performing exceptional customer service duties
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years' experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming
- Class 5 driver's license
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens
- Ability to work at heights
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical an asset
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible work schedule
