Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Foreperson, the Non-Ticketed Worker will be responsible for supporting daily operations on industrial and construction sites by performing a wide range of physical tasks, assisting trades, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
This role requires an individual who possesses the extensive on-the-job hours and skills equivalent to a certified journeyperson without the formal provincial certification or “ticket”. The incumbent will be a highly skilled worker capable of performing complex tasks independently in non-compulsory trades or in roles where employers deem their experience sufficient.
The incumbent will conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of Lynco, as well as adherence to all established Policies and Procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities

Clean, clear, and prepare work areas for construction and maintenance activities.

Load, unload, and move construction materials, machinery, tools, and equipment to designated work areas.

Assist with equipment setup, tear-down, scaffolding, shoring, barricades, and final site clean-up.

Support skilled trades personnel and equipment operators with tasks such as signaling, aligning materials, and general labour assistance.

Safely operate and use tools and equipment including pneumatic hammers, tampers, vibrators, misers, and forklifts.

Strictly adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations, site-specific rules, permits, procedures, and hazard controls.

Consistently wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, site orientations, and required safety training.

Complete required safety documentation and proactively identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, and maintenance concerns.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, environmental awareness, and professionalism at all job sites.

Work safely in physically demanding industrial environments, including active construction or maintenance sites and outdoor conditions in varying weather.

Collaborate with supervisors and site leads while performing assigned duties at client facilities; and,

Perform other relatable duties as required.
Qualifications

Grade 12 Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency is required.

Minimum two (2) years of construction, manufacturing, or industrial experience is required.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean Driver’s Abstract is required.

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment Alcohol & Drug Test in accordance with client site access requirements.

Criminal Record Check may be required.

Valid safety tickets depending on site requirements (Fall Protection, Confined Space, CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015).

Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools are required.

Strong understanding of applicable industry codes and standards is considered an asset.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in a safety-sensitive environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively report hazards and safety concerns.

Ability to adhere to strict site-specific safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour, including lifting heavy objects, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods.

Ability to work at heights and in active industrial environments.

Ability to travel and work at various job sites without restrictions; and,

Ability to work shift schedules, overtime, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Qualified status with the Métis Nation of Alberta or fluency in Dene Cree are preferred candidate traits.
