About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team at BMO. This hybrid role is focused on implementing and managing data loss prevention (DLP) solutions, ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive financial data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DLP tools, data protection techniques, and AI security controls. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical information assets by developing automation scripts, assessing AI systems for security risks, and collaborating with various business units to develop effective data protection strategies. Qualifications

4-7 years of relevant experience in information security, with a focus on data protection and cybersecurity. Deep understanding of data loss prevention (DLP) tools and security posture management. Familiarity with AI systems, including assessing and mitigating security risks associated with AI and machine learning. Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly with PowerShell and Microsoft Power Platform tools. Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC are preferred. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Implement and manage advanced data loss prevention (DLP) solutions to protect sensitive financial information across various platforms and systems. Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline security operations, enhance incident response, and improve overall security efficiency. Assess AI and machine learning systems for potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks. Design and develop workflows using Microsoft Power Tools to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Collaborate with stakeholders from different business units to develop, implement, and refine data protection strategies aligned with organizational goals. Monitor security alerts and perform incident investigations, providing recommendations for remediation and prevention. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to proactively enhance BMO’s security measures. Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
