We are looking for a(n) Production Supervisor to focus on production efficiencies, team building and delivering the highest quality of products to meet out customer requirements. This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure. The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities. Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is focused ensuring the health & safety, well being of our employees and physical assets. Focus on production efficiencies, Team building and delivering the highest quality of products to meet our customer requirements. Ensure all employees are trained and aware of company safety policies and procedures, develop and adhere to 5S standards & promote SafeStart philosophy. Ensure on time incident/HID reporting through Velocity, and ensuring employees on modified duties are following their established RTW program. Assumes “ownership” of meeting our production schedule requirements. Monitor production activity and data to develop solutions or recommendations to continuously improve processes in support of operational goals and smart objectives. Monitor production run speeds, waste and downtime on a regular basis. Lead morning production update meeting with support of all pressroom Team Leader’s debriefing on the past 24hrs of production from each press. Provide solutions if press lines are behind. Ensures quality control and reporting tools are in place, followed and are accurate. Communicate production metrics regularly with production teams and perform individual employee performance reviews. Lead specific pressroom team meetings and run the daily Safety Huddles. Provide coaching, direction and performance reviews to production team Responsible for assisting with hiring new employees. Ensure proper material costing data is consistently and accurately recorded on each job. Ensure required materials are in place. Monitor individual attendance and provide performance coaching as required. Ensure all pre-shift audits and safety inspections are completed and documented, all guarding is in place and effective and any deficiencies are corrected immediately. Encourage production leaders to submit all maintenance related requests in Interal or work with maintenance on urgent repairs immediately. Qualifications When your expertise drives us: Must have at least 10 years of print industry experience Minimum 5 years in a leadership role. Exceptional leadership/people management skills Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, delegate, control and provide effective leadership. Excellent communication skills to work with different departments within the organization. Trouble shooting equipment and problem-solving skills are essential.
