Role Description The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Kawartha Lakes, ON. This role involves performing routine maintenance services, including inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. The Automotive Technician will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, complete suspension and brake work, and carry out general automotive repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards. Daily tasks include documenting findings, completing repair orders accurately, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and collaborating with service advisors and team members to ensure timely, high-quality service for customers. Qualifications Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for a range of makes and models. Proficiency in performing Oil Changes and other routine service tasks efficiently and accurately. Experience in Automotive Repair, including diagnostics and resolving mechanical issues. Knowledge of Suspension systems, including inspection, repair, and replacement of components. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as an Automotive Service Technician (or working toward completion). Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and shop equipment safely and effectively. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment and communicate clearly with team members and customers. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
