As a mechanical designer, you’ll help deliver engineering projects, support technology selection and help implement solutions in the mining, hydropower and heavy industry sectors.
Based in our Mont-Saint-Hilaire office, you’ll play a key role in all project phases by delivering work of the highest technical quality.

- Design various systems and equipment in 3D
- Work with point clouds (3D scanning)
- Select equipment for mining, industrial and hydropower applications
- Create layout drawings of mechanical equipment and systems
- Gather technical information on site
- Perform detailed calculations
- Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks
- Prepare plans and specifications based on guidelines

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- College diploma in mechanical engineering technology
- Up to five years of experience
- Experience with 3D design
- Available to travel occasionally between the Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Montréal offices
- Available for short assignments at client sites
- Intermediate English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Asset: knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit, SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, Ansys and AutoCAD applications
- Asset: knowledge of piping, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, welded assemblies and structure
