About the role
Since 1991, Chervin has been designing, manufacturing, and installing high-end custom cabinetry in homes across Waterloo Region. Over the years, Chervin has expanded to serve the GTA and Muskoka region. Chervin has also built and acquired 4 sister companies which have given us the opportunity to be a key player in the markets for luxury hotel furniture, residential furniture, custom upholstered furniture, and home décor.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Woodworking: Build and assemble custom woodworking projects, including cabinetry and other pieces to exacting specifications.
- Blueprint and Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and designs to create accurate and high-quality products.
- Tool Operation: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to craft and finish wood components with precision.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure the product vision aligns with expectations and quality standards.
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape wood materials to achieve the desired outcomes and superior finishes.
- Workspace Management: Maintain an organized and tidy workspace, ensuring safety protocols and efficient production processes.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and ensure the highest standard of work throughout the production process.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the building process to ensure the timely completion of projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in custom woodworking or cabinetmaking
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Machining experience, with table saws preferred
- Strong proficiency in reading blueprints and detailed technical drawings
- Experience operating saws, routers, sanders, and other woodworking equipment
- Knowledge of various wood species and their applications in custom builds
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
