Role: Mill Maintenance Technician
Location: St. Marys, ON
Hours/Shift: Rotating shifts
2 weeks of Monday-Friday day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) followed by 4 days of afternoon shift (3:00 pm – 2:00 am), [responsible for on-call duty from 2 am - 7 am] 1 weekend shift (6:00 am – 6:00 pm), [responsible for on-call duty from 6 pm - 7 am] 1 week off

What You’ll Do
In this hands-on role, you will own the reliability and performance of critical mill equipment, ensuring smooth production that helps feed the world. You will carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair processing and packaging equipment, and collaborate with production teams, contractors, and engineers to maintain safe and efficient operations. You’ll play a key role in upholding safety standards, HACCP procedures, and minimizing downtime—owning your impact on both operations and team success.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a dependable and safety-focused team player who is ready to own their role in maintaining a high-performing manufacturing environment. You bring strong mechanical aptitude, thrive working independently, and collaborate effectively with others. Whether you're an apprentice (Level 2 or 3) or a licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), you take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
You’ll also need
Strong mechanical background with hands-on maintenance experience Familiarity with processing and packaging equipment (feed manufacturing experience is an asset) Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills Must be able to work rotation shifts, on-call schedules, and overtime as required Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 25 kg, bending, climbing ladders) Ability to work in loud and dusty environments Strong verbal and written communication skills
