Compensation: $80-90K, actual salary the successful candidate is offered will be dependent on several factors related to the specified position and experience.

Position Summary
The Product Engineering Systems Analyst serves as the critical link between product engineering, digital systems, and commercial configuration processes. This role translates complex engineering data, product structures, and workflow requirements into scalable digital solutions across engineering and customer-facing systems.
A key responsibility of this role includes architecting, maintaining, and optimizing the CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platform to ensure engineering rules, product configurations, pricing logic, and commercial workflows are accurately represented and aligned with product design standards.
The analyst partners closely with engineering, sales operations, product management, IT, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration between product lifecycle systems, ERP, and CPQ tools.
Key Responsibilities
Systems & Process Analysis
- Analyze product engineering workflows, product structures, and system dependencies to identify optimization opportunities
- Translate engineering requirements into scalable system solutions, functional specifications, and workflow designs
- Support architecture and continuous improvement of engineering systems including PLM, ERP, PDM, MES, and CPQ platforms
- Develop system process maps, technical documentation, and governance standards
CPQ Platform Architecture & Administration
- Serve as the functional systems lead for the CPQ platform
- Design and maintain product configuration architecture, including rules-based logic, dependencies, constraints, and guided selling workflows
- Translate engineering specifications, BOM logic, and product options into CPQ configuration models
- Build and maintain:
- product configurators
- option and compatibility rules
- pricing logic
- quote templates
- approval workflows
- Ensure alignment between CPQ product models and engineering master data
- Support integration between CPQ, PLM, ERP, and CRM systems
- Lead testing, validation, and deployment of new product configurations and pricing structures
- Partner with sales and product teams to improve quote accuracy and customer response times
- Support governance and version control of configuration rules during product changes and engineering revisions
Product Data & Digital Integration
- Manage the integrity of engineering and commercial master data, including:
- item masters
- BOMs
- configurable product attributes
- revision controls
- pricing parameters
- Ensure accurate data flow across engineering, manufacturing, and sales systems
- Support automation of product data synchronization across platforms
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop dashboards and KPIs related to:
- quote accuracy
- engineering data quality
- configuration error rates
- product change cycle times
- pricing and margin analytics
- Analyze CPQ and engineering system data to identify process bottlenecks and user issues
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering to ensure product rules reflect design intent
- Work with sales operations and commercial teams on configuration usability and pricing workflows
- Liaise with IT and developers on integrations, APIs, and system enhancements
- Support user training and change management for CPQ and engineering systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in systems analysis, engineering systems, or commercial systems
- Hands-on experience with CPQ platforms such as: Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, PROS Smart CPQ, Epicor CPQ, SAP CPQ
- Strong understanding of configurable products, BOM structures, and engineering change control
- Experience with ERP, PLM, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of system architecture and integrations
- SQL and data modeling experience
- Experience with APIs and workflow automation
- Background in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments
