The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Architectural Technologist to complement our Toronto office. Working under the supervision of the Job Captain, Project Manager, or senior Project Team member, you will perform a variety of production tasks to prepare documents needed to take a building from original concept to completion. You will contribute to the accuracy, quality, completeness, and schedule of finished drawing packages through coordination with team members and consultants. Experience with mass timber projects is required.
Here's what you’ll be doing at Kasian: Assist in the preparation of Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications Assist in the preparation of Contract Documents (CD) and specifications Assist in contact administration (CA)duties Take mentorship, guidance and direction from experienced production team members Be receptive to continual growth Prepare graphics, presentation drawings, materials and colour boards Assist in the research and compilation of construction Materials Assist in the printing, assembly, circulation and filing of project documents
Here’s what you bring to Kasian: Bachelor of Architecture degree, coupled with up to three years of experience in DD and CD acquired in an architectural office, or a Technical Diploma in Architectural Technology, coupled with up to three years of experience in Bachelor of Architecture degree coupled with up to three years experience in DD and CD acquired in an architectural office or Technical Diploma in Architectural Technology coupled with up to three years experience in DD and CD acquired in an architectural office. Experience with mass timber projects is required Proficient with state-of-the-art BIM; Revit experience is required Effective teamwork skills Knowledge of building codes, building science, and construction processes Proficient communication and time management skills Attention to detail Strong work ethic
Salary starts at $52,000+ per annum, based on a 40-hour work week. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, and skill set.
