Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates. www.acciona.ca The RAM Coordinator ensures all systems, tracks, stations, and rolling stock interfaces on the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) project maximize operational uptime and safety while minimizing long-term lifecycle costs. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic project team and contribute to a major infrastructure project that supports sustainable urban mobility and regional growth. Job Description Build Models: Develop and maintain project-specific RAM models for complex rail subsystems (e.g., traction power, signaling/train control, communications, tunnel ventilation). Verify Performance: Track and predict target metrics including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR). Mitigate Risk: Execute Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to uncover and resolve design or construction faults early. Interface Management: Ensure seamless RAM compliance across physical boundaries, specifically interfacing between underground tunnels and the 1.5-km elevated guideway. Review Vendors: Evaluate technical submissions, spare parts lists, and maintenance programs from rail and systems subcontractors. Document Compliance: Produce formal RAM validation reports to secure engineering sign-off from Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario, and the TTC. Support Commissioning: Assist the testing and commissioning teams during final system integration testing to ensure operational availability targets are satisfied Required Skills and Competencies Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Reliability Engineering. Experience: 3+ years of reliability, RAMS, or systems engineering experience within a heavy civil, rail, or transit construction environment. Software Skills: Proficiency with RAM engineering tools (such as ReliaSoft, Isograph, or custom fault-tree analysis software). Transit Literacy: Direct familiarity with rail systems including signaling (CBTC), traction power substations, and communications. Methodology: Expert knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Hazard Logs, and FMEA/FMECA protocols. Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or working towards designation. Practical understanding of EN 50126 / EN 50128 / EN 50129 standards (Railway applications - Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety). This role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $79,000–$100,000 CAD, with compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
