About the role

Production Associate - BGA Re-balling Operator (7:00am to 3:30pm) Working as a member of CWDS's day shift production team, you will be responsible to complete the entire BGA Re-balling process as required and evaluate the quality of the altered materials per specifications. The Operator will be responsible to perform all the requirements using related equipment, confirm that every step is in accordance with the drawings and generate reports as required. Location: Ottawa, ON Salary Range: $38,200 - $50,900 annually Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Work through defined work schedule based on job priority, following written procedures, guidelines, and best practices. Be the contact for internal customers, working with them on aspects of work order status and provide feedback of completed work. Experience working with formal procedures and supporting documents. Conduct thorough inspection of BGA components and raise notifications for any non-compliances. Able to use metallurgical microscope, record, analyze and report all data accurately. Read and interpret drawing requirements. Support yield improvement projects and provide recommendations for process change and continuous improvement. Perform inventory and identify all materials including chemicals needed to order from stockroom. Responsible for all material handling duties, managing, and lifting daily supplies as required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and team building skills are required. Knowledge of as well as implementing 6S and FOD programs in the working area. May contribute as a member of the Spill team and/or Health and Safety Committee. Willing to support 3 shift rotations as required. Abide by all Health and Safety policies and procedures. What you Bring: Technical Diploma or minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience. Knowledge of defect recognition for workmanship requirements. Preference given to individuals with 2 – 5 years soldering experience in a production environment. Experience with BGA removal and replacement, BGA rework and repair of BGA pads would be an asset. Good working knowledge of personal computers. Strong interpersonal skills with internal customer-centric focus and ability to maintain satisfied customer relationships. Self-motivated and team oriented, capable of managing time & priorities to meet deadlines. Technical writing experience would be an asset.
