Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for working on a production line in one of several capacities, including hand‑add station operations, bagging and stacking product, and packaging/storage activities, as required. General line and plant housekeeping is also an essential part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the hand‑add station, including the use of a digital scale to measure materials and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Bag cement‑based products in accordance with production and quality requirements
- Perform manual stacking of product onto pallets and production lines
- Safely operate a forklift for material handling and storage (where certified/authorized)
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall plant housekeeping standards
- Work safely at all times by adhering to company safety policies, including PPE requirements, lock‑out procedures, confined‑space protocols, and safe lifting practices
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions, accidents, incidents, or near misses to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, requiring adaptation to varying temperatures and weather conditions
- The environment is dusty, loud, and industrial in nature
- Hearing protection is required, and appropriate PPE must be worn at all times
- Regular handling of cementitious and chemical materials; proper respirator fit and use is required
- The role involves substantial repetitive physical effort, including the ability to lift up to 30 kg
- Safely work in and around moving machinery and equipment
Schedule Requirements:
- Ability to work both day and night shifts
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Forklift certification considered an asset

Self‑motivated with the ability to perform duties according to established standards

Effective communication with management and team leaders to meet production targets and escalate issues as needed

Strong time‑management skills to maintain required production levels

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle required for commuting purposes.
