Our customer base includes Air Canada, WestJet, Canadian Coast Guard, Purolator, Petro Canada, Home Hardware, Alaska Airlines and a broad base of government entities such as the Federal Government of Canada. Job Summary: The Embroidery Machine Operators main responsibility is to program and operate the embroidery machine to embroider customer garments according to the purchase order. Day Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday Duties and Responsibilities: Embroidery Machine Operator Read and understand instructions on customer purchase order forms to determine type of embroidery required on the garment ex. logo, name and title customization Follow instruction in the logo library to determine details such as placement of logos on the garments Program the embroidery information into the machine and ensure the correct colors are threaded Hooping of garments, ensuring size of hoop is correct, and entering into the embroidery machine Monitoring the quality if the embroidery during the operation and correcting any discrepancies Fold completed garments and place in totes Other duties as assigned Heat Transfer Machine Operator Read and understand instructions on customer purchase order forms to determine which customer garments require a heat transfer Follow instructions from the logo library (where to place the logo on the garment, what temperature to set heat transfer machine and how long the transfer will take) Set up heat transfer machine according to instructions from the logo library Measure the garment with a ruler to ensure placement of the logo on the garment is correct and transfer garment with the logo placed into the heat transfer machine, process heat transfer After transfer is complete, preform a quality check, fold garment and place into tote Other duties as assigned Name Badge Printer Operator Read and understand the customer’s purchase orders forms to determine which orders require name badges and the requirements of the badge Using the computer software Assure ID input the employee names, job titles to be printed on the badges ensuring information inputted is correct (spelling of names and job titles, use of uppercase letters) Load printer with cards and print badges After badges are printed check order form to determine if they require a magnet or clip and prepare badge accordingly Other duties as assigned Experience and Education: Completion of secondary school Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Time management Basic Computer skill Quality control testing Problem solving Attention to Detail Independence Creativity Verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Collaboration Active learning Adaptability Eye hand coordination Troubleshooting Working Conditions, Physical Effort and Environment: Vision and color discrimination Operating embroidery machines Ability to lift 35lbs.
