The salary range for this position is $22 to $26 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities. Shift Schedule:Day Shift: 5:00AM-5:00PM (2-2-3)Night Shift: 5:00PM-5:00AM (Tuesday to Wednesday, 1 week on, 1 week off) The Stacker Operator is responsible for the operation of the equipment in the Muller stacker/Ferag stacker area. This includes operating the Newsgrip system, stackers, strappers and under wraps. The operator must be able to set up and maintain all of the components. The operator must be in constant communication with the operator, and with the press crew. Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: Set up and operate Muller and Ferag stackers according to production and bundle requirements Configure and utilize the LIM (Linemaster) distribution system Monitor bundle size, quality, and production output to ensure customer specifications are met Operate and troubleshoot stackers, Samuel strappers, Quipp underwraps, and the Newsgrip system Coordinate with the Segbert Operator and Press Crew to support production flow Remove waste copies, bale waste materials, and box store copies as required Load cardboard and support hand insert breakout activities Verify versions running on press match those loaded into robotic systems Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance on stackers, strappers, underwraps, and related equipment Utilize the Equipment Failure Report (EFR) system to report equipment issues Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including WHMIS, LOTO, and WSIB guidelines Qualifications When your expertise drives us: High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent 4–6 years of experience in the web offset printing industry Experience operating or supporting stackers, strappers, underwraps, and related post-press equipment Working knowledge of production systems, including LIM (Linemaster) and Newsgrip systems Ability to inspect product quality and verify bundle specifications during production Experience troubleshooting production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Familiarity with robotic material handling systems; experience with KBA robot lines is an asset Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and waste handling activities Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, including WHMIS, LOTO, PPE, and WSIB requirements Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under production demands Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with press and post-press personnel Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision Experience with quarter-folding equipment is considered an asset When benefits really help you live better: We offer a comprehensive and flexible benefits package designed to support your well-being and help you thrive—at work and at home.
