Role Description The Industrial Services Operator role at Blueline Industrial is a full-time, on-site position based in Lower Sackville, NS. This role involves operating industrial cleaning and vacuum equipment, supporting hydrovac and daylighting activities, and assisting with CCTV inspection services for pipelines and underground infrastructure. The Industrial Services Operator will perform routine and emergency cleaning tasks, follow detailed work orders, and ensure job sites are safe, organized, and compliant with company procedures. Daily responsibilities include loading and unloading equipment, handling waste materials according to regulations, conducting basic equipment inspections, and maintaining accurate service documentation. The role requires working closely with supervisors, technicians, and clients, responding to urgent service calls, and contributing to a culture of safety, teamwork, and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based, field-focused environment. Communication and customer service skills to interact clearly and professionally with clients, peers, and supervisors. Service desk and customer satisfaction skills to support service requests, document work performed, and help ensure positive client experiences. Experience operating industrial or construction equipment, such as vacuum trucks, hydrovac units, or related machinery, is an asset. Commitment to safety, including adherence to company safety policies, use of personal protective equipment, and participation in safety training. Ability to perform physical tasks, work in varying weather conditions, and handle extended or irregular shifts as needed. Valid driver’s license; commercial driving experience or relevant certifications are considered an advantage. Previous experience in industrial services, environmental services, or a related field is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
