Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) Location: Toronto or Hamilton, ON Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 + Benefits Work Arrangement: Hybrid (typically 1 day work from home per week)

Your New Role
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of building system improvement and retrofit projects, leading assignments from initial assessment and design through to construction administration and project close-out. Working closely with clients, contractors, building operators, and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for existing buildings.
Projects may include: HVAC system upgrades and modernization Existing building restoration projects Boiler and heating plant replacements Water distribution and pumping systems Lighting and energy-efficiency improvements Building retrofit and rehabilitation projects Municipal, institutional, healthcare, and government facilities Energy modelling and greenhouse gas reduction initiatives Mechanical and electrical building system assessments and design work
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is required or candidates nearing completion will also be considered. Approximately 5+ years of engineering and project management experience. Strong experience in one or more of the following areas: HVAC systems Existing building restoration Boiler and heating systems Water and pumping systems Building retrofits and rehabilitation Municipal, institutional, or government projects Experience managing projects through planning, design, tendering, contract administration, and close-out. Understanding of local building codes, standards, and regulations. Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills. Valid driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle for project-related travel.
