About the role
Are you an AAT qualified accounts professional looking for your next career step? Join a dynamic finance team on the outskirts of Lancaster and take your skills to the next level! This forward thinking manufacturer are looking to grow their team with an Accounts Assistant with strong experience across all transactional finance duties. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of our accounts function.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing day-to-day transactional finance activities, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Preparing and assisting with VAT, payroll, and other routine financial reporting.
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes to ensure timely and accurate accounts.
- Liaising with internal teams and external clients to resolve queries and maintain accurate records.
What we’re looking for:
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) with solid hands-on experience in transactional finance plus a strong academic background
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- A proactive team player who is eager to learn and grow.
