Contract length : 13 Jun 2027 Working Environment: 8x6 day shift rotation. Return flights from Calgary or Edmonton hub and camp accommodation provided Pay rate : $65.60 – 70.27/hr
Electrical Field Engineer Key Accountabilities Active participation in site safety programs including Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA), Critical Control Assurance (CCA), and contractor safety meeting Application of company, industrial, and job scope requirements in a practical manner to construction activities Timely response to field inquiries and technical issues with practical solutions (answering RFI/FCNs). This includes field visits for problem analysis, discussions with contractors and construction teams, coordination with vendors and/or the Engineer of Record, and may require engineering calculation Review and approval of shop drawing submittal Assist construction contractors with interpretation of drawings and specification Support the overall project team in achieving key project milestone Support the construction team in the development of Work Packages, scope definition, and provision of technical data for field-issued contract Review engineering and construction work packages for errors or omissions and translate to placeholders in the turnover management system Review Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and other QA documentation in a timely manner Progressive review of QA exhibits produced by contractor personnel, including field witnessing of activities as defined in discipline-specific ITP Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for contractors as require Conduct progressive audits and quality surveillance of contractors to verify adherence to project, industry, and job-specific requirement Review construction quality procedure Conduct progressive inspections to identify deficiencies and communicate them to contractor Lead Installation Work Package (IWP), construction, and final walkdowns to identify and record Support closure of deficiencies through technical guidance and field verificatio Review redline documentation for completeness against construction and project change record Review final project turnover packages for accuracy and completeness Participate in mechanical completion and transfer of care, custody, and control processe Review and closeout of Field Change Notices (FCNs), Design Change Notices (DCNs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Minimum Requirement Must be a P.Eng. registered in Alberta and authorized to authenticate professional work product Electrical background with familiarity with CEC and NFPA standard Experience working with multidisciplinary project team
