About the role
The Role Accurate is on the hunt for a Licensing Advisor to join our Client Services team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Edmonton office. The person we envision for this role has an exceptional eye for detail, a genuine interest in software licensing and cloud platforms, and a knack for turning complex licensing questions into clear, confident answers. You will work closely with Account Managers, the Procurement Advisor, and Centralized Services to ensure clients’ licensing environments are accurate, optimized, and always one step ahead. From monthly audits and license changes to proactive renewals and vendor management, you’ll be the expert our team and clients rely on. Core Accountabilities
Licensing Audit & Compliance Own and execute recurring client licensing audits including monthly billable user reviews, M365 tenant audits, and invoice validation to ensure billing accuracy. Identify discrepancies before invoicing and communicate findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders so no one is caught off guard.
CSP Portfolio Management Manage Accurate’s CSP portfolio including Azure, Microsoft 365, and legacy subscriptions; process orders, track usage, and reconcile records month over month. Keep CSP records accurate, current, and reconciled so billing is never a surprise for clients or the team.
License Changes & User Management Process all licensing add, remove, and change requests including user onboarding and offboarding, license reallocation, and shared mailbox conversions accurately and within agreed timelines. Ensure all changes are documented and reflected in billing with zero licensing gaps.
Renewals & Vendor Licensing Manage the full renewal lifecycle for software and hardware licenses including Adobe, Foxit, Bluebeam, Fortinet, and Meraki; proactively reach out to clients ahead of renewal windows with no lapses in coverage. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure Accurate benefits from the best available pricing, programs, and certifications.
Proactive Licensing Optimization Actively identify opportunities for licensing upgrades, rightsizing, and cost optimization across client environments before clients need to ask. Partner with Account Managers and Centralized Services to present and implement recommendations with clear ROI.
Product Knowledge & Consultation Maintain deep product expertise across licensing programs, platforms, and vendor offerings; keep pricing current and stay ahead of vendor changes. Share licensing knowledge across teams and provide valuable input during complex client or internal licensing discussions.
Process Adherence & Documentation Follow and continuously improve licensing processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability. Maintain clear records of licensing requests, audit histories, and approvals so team members can reference status easily at any time. The Qualifications We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications and traits. If you have most but not all, we still encourage you to apply! You have 1+ years of experience in a Managed Service Provider environment, ideally in a licensing, procurement, or technical advisory role. You have a solid understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing and a genuine interest in staying current with vendor programs and cloud platforms. You’re highly detail-oriented; errors in licensing records or billing stand out to you, and you take pride in getting it right the first time. You’re an excellent communicator who can break down licensing complexity for clients, vendors, and internal teams at any level. You’re organized and proactive; you manage multiple open requests and audit cycles simultaneously without losing track of the details. Previous experience with Sherweb, other CSP portals, or the full Microsoft 365 licensing portfolio is a strong asset. Experience and comfortability with AI tools is considered a strong asset.
