Why Your Role Matters
Under the direction of the project’s UNSW lead, the Research Associate will be involved in conducting the technical tasks of the project. The role of Research Associate reports to the project’s UNSW lead and has no direct reports. The position will involve research activity in multidisciplinary settings requiring strong artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, power systems programming, and scientific writing skills. The Research Associate will contribute to the development of research results and their publication in international journals or conferences.
Who You Are (skills And Experience)
A PhD in Data Analytics, Energy Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Optimisation, Computer Science, or a similar discipline, in addition to demonstrated strong performance in research in the areas of autonomous systems, autopilots, swarm and robotics, or similar areas. A demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills appropriate for interacting effectively with team members, collaborators, and colleagues across the Faculty. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, showing initiative and taking direction as appropriate to the situation. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within agreed time frames, with suitable supervision.
